Makeup Haul

This past weekend I attended the IMATS in NYC, which made for a great makeup haul. Check out my purchases below!

Anyone who knows me knows one thing....I love eyelashes! I've been working on perfecting my application over the last few months, so I decided to pick up a few pairs to practice with!

This amazingly pigmented and vibrant "Chinadoll" palette by LimeCrime is ahhhh-mazzzz-ing! And these shadows are vegan and cruelty free....LimeCrime is definitely one of my new favorites! Check out a blurb from their site LimeCrimemakeup.com about the Chinadoll palette below:

"A fantasy collection of 5 pressed eyeshadows inspired by the beauty of China. Superior coverage, creamy texture ranging from matte to metallic finish, and superb blendability. Palette arrives encased in a deluxe purple tin."

I wasn't overly impressed with the three NYX lip liners I purchased, they were pretty standard dry liner pencils (colors left to right: 831 Mauve, 827 Never, 812 Plum). But I LOVE the jumbo lip pencils (colors left to right: 711 Iced Coffee, 712 Plush Red, 709 Deep Red)! They go on beautifully, aren't sticky and have reasonable staying power. I will definitely be purchasing more of these.

NYX eyeshadow palette in Ombre Sombra (Hot Pink, Cool Blue, Cherry). I'm liking the icy light blue and am really into the pinks (though I have to be sure to go heavy on the bronzer if I don't want the pinks to drown me out). I also picked up this deep orange/red in the color Africa. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm excited to try it out.

I am absolutely obsessed with thick natural brows!!! I have been using a brown pencil by MAC, but decided to give the waterproof brow color in medium by Stila a try. So far I love it, though I am still working on the perfect amount of color (I've been a little heavy handed with the application).

Last but not least: NYX Jumbo Eyepencils in 623A Purple Velvet and 628 Cucumber. I haven't used the purple, but I did use the green to highlight a peacock eye I did last night and it was perfect. The color glides on evenly and creates an easily blendable look that's nicely pigmented.

Playing with my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol.4

I had some free time tonight so I decided to play around with my new love, my Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. 4 set (sorry the pisc have a yellow tint it's the lighting in my apt).... Anyway, I am obsessed with the cobra color, its amazing against my fair skin tone. Playing around with makeup really does make me happy :)

In these pics I have bust on as my base, cobra in my crease and zephyre as my highlighter. I added a dusting of skimp on my lid after I blended my crease and lined my lid with the 24/7 waterproof liquid eyeliner. I finished my eyes with a thin layer of black on my waterline (not a part of this kit) and the super curl curling mascara (which by the way is amazing) for a great soft smokey eye look.
